Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement with the Riverside Superintendent of Schools to provide Math Alignment Support services. The Riverside County Office of Education Department of Assessment, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement will train Math teams on what is assessed on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) yearly and how to use the assessment results to guide instruction. Training may include, but is not limited to:
- Understanding Claims
- Understanding Assessment Targets
- Accessibility Resources
- Scoring: Scale Scores and Achievement Level Descriptors
- Score Reports
- Using Scores to Guide Instruction
Math teams will also be trained on the math framework and work to align math standards with curriculum content and CAASPP. This work provides the foundational knowledge necessary to identify essential standards, develop scope and sequence, and create common formative assessments that provide specific, targeted data that will be used to drive instructional decision-making.
Attached is a proposal from RCOE's Educational Services Division. Upon approval from the PUHSD Board of Trustees and receipt of an Agreement from RCOE, the Agreement will be executed and shall be from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026 for an amount not to exceed $28,800.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2025-26 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.

Recommendation:
|
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with the Riverside County Office of Education for math alignment support services.
