Summary:
|
On November 22, 2021, the Perris Union High School District and the Perris Secondary Educators Association (PSEA) entered into a Tentative Agreement for the period of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024. For the 2022-23 fiscal year, the agreement included a salary increase of two percent (2%) effective July 1, 2022. On May 25, 2022, as a result of triggering contingency language, the District and the PSEA entered into a Tentative Agreement that instead provides for a salary increase of six and fifty-six one-hundredths percent (6.56%). Based upon the “me too” language within the California School Employees Association (CSEA) Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 10.2.1, CSEA also receives any on-schedule salary increases as any other bargaining unit. The applicable “me too” language provides for CSEA to receive an ongoing six and fifty-six one-hundredths percent (6.56%) salary increase effective July 1, 2022.
Pursuant to AB1200, a public school employer must disclose the major provisions of any changes to a collective bargaining agreement, including the costs incurred by the employer for the current and subsequent fiscal years. Attached are the required AB 1200 public disclosure documents in accordance with California Government Code Section 3547.5, Education Code Section 42142, and the criteria and standards adopted by the State Board of Education.

|
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Disclosure of Collective Bargaining Agreement (AB1200) for the period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, with the California School Employees Association and its Chapter, Perris Valley #469.
