Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District, along with the Murrieta Valley Unified School District, Temecula Valley Unified School District, Lake Elsinore Unified School District, Menifee Union School District, and the Perris Elementary School District submitted a Request for Pricing (RFP) for the purchase of frozen, refrigerated dry, and processed commodity and or commercial products for the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and the Seamless Summer Option for the 2021-22 school year. The bid closed on April 01, 2021, and was awarded to Gold Star Foods, the sole responsive and responsible bidder, at the Murrieta Valley Unified School District Board meeting on May 13, 2021.
The estimated cost for the 2021-22 school year is $1,265,000 based on the estimated quantities for the prices listed on the bid.
The contract may be renewed annually upon mutual consent for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods for a maximum of three (3) years, in accordance with Education Code Section 81644.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Nutrition Services, not the General Fund.
