Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of constructing a new high school facility. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Alcorn Fence Company (Alcorn) in the amount of $3,130,715 for all services related to site fencing and gates on the Liberty High School Campus. During the completion of Alcorn's scope of work, changes became necessary to properly address the campus's needs. These changes are being added to Alcorn's scope of work through Change Order No. 03d-006. The Liberty Stadium was designed without fencing around the perimeter of the track. This creates a situation where visitors to the stands have direct access to the track and field. To address safety and security during events, District Staff has requested the design and costs related to adding fencing around the track and stadium, including gates at the stadium bleachers. Alcorn Fence Company will add 1306 linear feet of tube steel fencing and all related gates to match the existing Ameristar tube steel fencing. In addition to the fencing, Alcorn will provide work at the baseball and softball batter's eye locations necessary to construct these batters' eyes properly. Additionally, Alcorn will provide the material and labor to address changes necessary to site gates that require changes to hardware due to field conditions at gate locations. These additional services and changes resulted in Change Order No. 03d-006 in the amount of $415,617.20.
