Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the “Liberty High School Project,” which consists of the construction of a new high school facility.
During its January 16, 2019 meeting, the Board approved the contract with TYR, Incorporated in the amount of $914,026.56 for DSA Inspector of Record (IOR) services required by the Division of State Architects Office (DSA) as part of the Liberty High School Project. The original approved proposal included 2 project inspectors - a Main Project Inspector and an Assistant Inspector, as originally required by DSA. In June of 2019, DSA notified the project team and requested an additional Assistant Inspector due to the size, complexity, and scope of the Liberty High School Project. This additional inspector has increased the scope and amount of the original budget which was originally approved for IOR Services by $436,096 through the completion of the project. Additionally, this amount includes a $40,000 contingency to be utilized for additional hours as necessitated by the project schedule or DSA direction. The District recommends the approval of Change Order No. 1 with TYR, Incorporated for IOR Services in the amount of $436,096.
