Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of constructing a new high school facility. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Alcorn Fence Company (Alcorn) in the amount of $3,130,715 for all services related to site fencing and gates on the Liberty High School Campus. During the completion of Alcorn’s scope of work, changes became necessary to properly complete the fencing installation around the baseball and softball fields on the Liberty Campus. The original design of this fencing provided a tension wire along the bottom of the fencing. This is not a preferred installation method for this fencing when used for baseball and softball fields, as it would not be durable and prone to early failure. District staff requested the installation of a solid bottom rail at all fencing locations in the areas in question. The addition of the solid bottom rail resulted in an additional cost of $15,234.80.
