Summary:

Staff is recommending to adopt Resolution No.14:2023-24 Elimination/Discontinuation and Layoff of Certain Classified Management/Unrepresented Employees pursuant to Education Code sections 45117, 45298, and 45308. These positions were uniquely created with one-time Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds, Learning Recovery Emergency Block Grant, and other COVID-related funding for the 2021-22, 2022-23, and 2023-24 school years only, knowing the positions would be eliminated at the end of the 2023-24 school year, if alternative funding sources were not available.
