Summary:
|
Brenda Velasquez, Yearbook Club Advisor at Paloma Valley High School, is requesting permission from the Board of Education for an overnight field trip for two (2) PVHS yearbook students to attend the 2023 Walsworth’s So Cal Yearbooks Workshop at Cal Poly in Pomona, California, July 28-31, 2023.
Students will attend one of the following yearbook workshops: Yearbook I or II, Photography I or II, Editorial Leadership, Layout & Design, and/or Writing. In addition, the students will be participating in Team Building Activities. Mr. Wargo will receive advisor training and networking with other advisors.
Students will stay in dorm rooms at Cal Poly Pomona. Rooms will be assigned by gender and school (boys and girls will not be rooming together). The camp provides all meals. The cost will be $450 per student attendee. A District vehicle will provide transportation to and from the yearbook workshops.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Paloma Valley High School's Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
