Ms. Jocelyn Santillan and Ms. Nery Hopi, California Military Institute teachers request Board of Trustee approval to attend the 21st Annual National TPRS Conference in Kennewick, Washington, July 18-21, 2022.
TPRS Books offers various language workshops for teachers. This conference will conduct training and presentation, helping teachers promote language fluency in their classrooms. Drawing from Blaine Ray's TPRS language teaching method, this conference aims to train teachers to make their class comprehensible by introducing books and resource materials that contain interesting stories, relatable conversations, and interactive activity ideas. This conference is the most comprehensive and rewarding TPRS experience available. The conference will include specialized tracks for New to TPRS Teachers as well as experienced TPRS teachers and sessions will be offered on a wide variety of topics for intermediate or advanced TPRS teachers.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2022-23 Charter Local Control and Accountability Plan Funds, not the Charter General Fund.
