Use of Facilities Manual.pdf
Summary: Pursuant to Board Policy 1330, District facilities and grounds may be used by community groups under the Civic Center Act when the activities do not interfere with school activities and such use does not result in costs to the District. With the opening of new 33-meter regulation compliant aquatic facilities at our comprehensive high schools, it is necessary to modify the usage rates for the District’s pool facilities. The Business Services Division analyzed the anticipated pool operational costs and reviewed the fee schedules of surrounding school districts. Attached for the Board’s consideration is a revised fee schedule modifying the pool usage fees as follows: Discount/Local Youth Cost: $30 per hour (previously $20 per hour) Non-Profit/Direct Cost: $60 per hour (previously $40 per hour) Fair Rental Cost: $150 per hour (previously $100 per hour) The District’s Facility Usage Manual is also attached for the Board’s information.
Funding: There is no fiscal impact to this item. The budget will be adjusted to reflect revenue.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the revised pool usage fees as presented.
