Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District is requesting to utilize the Capistrano Unified School District’s (“CUSD”) piggybackable Bid #2122-04 for milk, dairy, fruit juice, and ice cream products as awarded to Hollandia Dairy. The Capistrano Unified School District conducted a competitive solicitation process for the purchase of milk, dairy, fruit juice, and ice cream products and awarded the contract to Hollandia Dairy on July 21, 2021. On May 17, 2023, the CUSD Governing Board approved to extend the contract with Hollandia Dairy for a one (1) year term; this contract shall be valid from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.
After thorough consideration, the District has determined that it is in the best interest of the District to piggyback off of Bid #2122-04 as awarded to Hollandia Dairy for the 2023-24 school year, at an estimated amount of $400,000.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Nutrition Services, not the General Fund.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees adopt Resolution No. 40:22-23 - Resolution Authorizing Piggybacking for the Purchase of Milk, Dairy, Fruit Juice and Ice Cream Products.
