The Perris High School (PHS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) Officers would like to attend the Annual Officers Retreat in Julian, California, November 5-7, 2021. The Perris FFA Officers Retreat is a critical component of the leadership program in the FFA organization. FFA makes a positive difference in students' lives by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
The Perris FFA officer retreat is a critical component of the leadership program in the FFA organization.
FFA makes a positive difference in students' lives by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
To accomplish its mission, we attempt to train and uphold values in the FFA. The following is a list of lessons we incorporate in our FFA officer retreat:
• Develops competent and assertive agricultural leadership.
• Increases awareness of the global and technological importance of agriculture and its contribution to our well-being.
• Strengthens the confidence of agriculture students in themselves and their work.
• Promotes the intelligent choice and establishment of an agricultural career.
• Encourages achievement in supervised agricultural experience programs.
• Encourages wise management of economic, environmental, and human resources of the community.
• Develops interpersonal skills in teamwork, communications, human relations, and social interaction.
• Builds character and promotes citizenship, volunteerism, and patriotism.
• Promotes cooperation and cooperative attitudes among all people.
• Promotes healthy lifestyles.
• Encourages excellence in scholarship
There will be seven (7) chapter officers and three (3) adults participating. All expenses will be paid for through the chapter Associated Student Body Future Farmers of America fund. Transportation will be provided by site vehicles.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Perris High School's Associated Student Body Future Farmers of America Fund, not the General Fund.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for the Perris High School Future Farmers of America officers to attend the Future Farmers of America Officer Retreat in Julian, California, November 5-7, 2021.
