Summary:
|
California Military Institute's Brigade Advisor/Commandant, Captain David K. Sibley, has submitted a request to have CMI cadets participate in the monthly Headquarter Cadet Corps Meetings (HQCACC) on Decemebr 1-2, 2023.
The purpose of this encampment is to give JROTC students the opportunity to master outdoor skills and to learn leadership in small group settings, curriculum-related training in small group settings, and curriculum-related training that would qualify cadets for ribbons and awards. During their time there, CMI cadets will plan for all upcoming events, including Xtreme Games, IMA, State Drill Competitions, CERT Training, Marksmanship Competition, and First Aid. These events will benefit the CMI cadets by developing their leadership skills and teaching them to build better relationships with outside agencies, making CMI cadets more competitive and informed.
The United States Army Cadet Command will provide students with free lodging, transportation, and meals. Accommodations will be in military-style barracks, and transportation will be via CMI vans.

The cost for this item is included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through the Charter CMD-MOU Fund, not the Charter General Fund.
