Summary:
|
Heritage High School's Agriculture teacher, Jeremiah Perotti, requests Board approval for Heritage High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the 95th Annual State Leadership Conference at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, March 16-19, 2023. The FFA Leadership Conference is an extension of the classroom and will strengthen what the students have learned through the curriculum. This trip aims to expand leadership skills by attending leadership workshops and activities. The skills acquired at these conferences are valuable tools that can be used immediately and after high school. This is an overnight field trip of three (3) nights, with twenty-seven (27) students and two (2) adult chaperones. Transportation will be provided via District and site vehicles.

The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Heritage High School's Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Fund and Perkins Funds, not the General Fund.
