Maggie Maratsos, Heritage High School Agriculture Teacher and Future Farmers of America Advisor has submitted an overnight field trip request for members of Heritage High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the Modesto Junior College Field Day in Modesto, California, March 18-19, 2022.
The Modesto Junior College Agriculture Field Day Competition on March 18-19, 2022 includes six (6) students and one (1) adult chaperone. The Field Day offers students twenty-four (24) different agriculturally based judging contests. The contests range from livestock judging to agriculture computer applications. Modesto JC students representing a variety of majors, coordinate the contests while faculty and staff serve as advisors. Students attending this event will be able to compete at a high level in their FFA judging teams while preparing them for the state finals, as this is one of the most competitive field days in California. Transportation will be provided by District vehicles.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Heritage High School's Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Account and the Perkins Grant, not the General Fund.
