IN70031 Perris Union High School District Modification #8 CMO.pdf
Summary: On February 10, 2021, the Board of Trustees approved the multi-year Agreement IN70031 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (“RCSS”) for Career Technical Education (“CTE”) instructors through June 30, 2024. This Modification Number Eight (“Mod No. 8”) seeks to increase five (5) CTE instructors at Liberty High School at a cost of $135,219.00, including salary and benefits per teacher. This increases the total contract by $696,377.85 for the 2023-24 school year. This Mod No. 8 increases the total dollar amount of the Agreement to $3,203,338.11 annually. Below is a list of the additional CTE classes per Mod No. 8: 1.0 FTE - Computer Programming Instructor (Liberty High School) 1.0 FTE - Law Enforcement Instructor (Liberty High School) 1.0 FTE - Marketing, Sales, and Service Instructor (Liberty High School) 1.0 FTE - Medical Assisting Instructor (Liberty High School) 1.0 FTE - TV/Video Production Instructor (Liberty High School) Modification No. 8 will be in effect as of July 1, 2023. The term of the initial Agreement is from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024. This item is being brought before the Board as ratification because although services will not commence until July 1st, it was necessary to execute the contract in order for RCSS to recruit instructors for these classes and have them ready to begin when students return for the 2023-24 school year.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify Modification No. 8 to Agreement IN-70031 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for an increase to Career Technical Education Services.
