Summary:
|
In the District’s ongoing effort to ensure adequate resources to educational programs and to meet the guidelines of at least 10Gbps internet service, the Perris Union High School District (PUHSD) would like to exercise the one (1) year contract extension with Crown Castle to provide a managed high-speed Wide Area Network (WAN). These data connections provide the school sites with point-to-point communications for district and internet infrastructure.
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 at a rate of $2,875 per month, for a total cost of $34,500.
The California Military Institute will contribute a pro-rata share based on their percentage of staff and student totals.
Utilization of the contract is contingent upon approved funding for the 2021-22 E-Rate years and the District is under no obligation to proceed with the recommended contract. Costs to the District can be discounted by 60 percent to 90 percent, dependent upon the service and District eligibility.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through the General Fund, and contingent upon approved funding for the 2021-22 E-Rate years.
