Summary: Following a presentation on the Report of Purchases at the September Board meeting, a discussion was held regarding Purchasing Policy, specifically, as it relates to Purchase Orders. It was determined that Business Services would present options for a policy revision at the October Board meeting. Candace Reines, Deputy Superintendent of Business Services, will present options for discussion by the Board. Following this discussion, if the Board desires to make a change to the current policy, they can make the appropriate motion, and upon approval, the applicable Board Policy and Administrative Regulation will be brought forward for first reading at the November Board meeting, and final approval at the December Board meeting.
Funding: No fiscal impact.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees select and approve an option for revision to the Purchasing Policy.
