California Military Institute science teachers Lorraine Turner and Crystal Johnson request approval to attend the 2023 National Association of Biology Teachers Professional Development Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, November 2-5, 2023.
As the recognized leader in life science education, the National Association of Biology Teachers represents and supports teachers, students, scientists, and allied professional organizations to enhance and improve biological literacy for all. The NABT is committed to the professional growth and development of biology and life science educators. The NABT empowers the individual educator and fosters a supportive professional environment to attract a diverse community of educators who continually improve and enhance biology education.
The association believes pedagogy should be learner-centered and reflect empirically tested best practices. They affirm that all instructional content must be relevant and scientifically validated and advocate as biology teachers on behalf of biology teachers, their students, and the profession. The 2023 NABT Professional Development Conference will feature engaging speakers, leaving teachers excited to teach biology and life science.
