Summary:

Mr. Douglas Cousins, Perris High School Agriculture teacher and Future Farmers of America (FFA) Advisor has requested approval for the PHS FFA to send five (5) students and one (1) instructor, Aaron Nering, to represent the California FFA at the 2022 National FFA Convention that will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 23-30, 2022.
Four (4) of the five (5) students attending the National FFA Convention will participate as part of the PHS Nursery and Landscape Career Development Team that won the California FFA State Championship. They will be representing California at the National Contest in Indianapolis, Indiana. This student will compete against the state winners in all other states throughout the United States of America. The other student was selected to attend by the State FFA Board to represent California as a National FFA Delegate. She will be attending as a voting delegate for the State of California. Perris High School Agriculture program and Future Farmers of America are incredibly proud of our student's accomplishments. They are honored to have Perris High School represent the State of California at the 2022 National FFA Convention. Our students and Mr. Nering will travel to the National Convention with the California FFA and state FFA staff. The California FFA books flights and hotels.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Out-of-State Field Trip Request for Perris High School Future Farmers of America officers and instructor to attend the 2022 National Future Farmers of America Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 23-30, 2022.
