Summary: The District requested proposals for geotechnical, material testing, and special inspection services for the California Military Institute (CMI) Covered Walkway Project. The District would like to extend the contract for geotechnical, materials testing, and special inspection services to NV5, Inc. Title 24, Part 1, Section 4-335 requires that tests of geotechnical conditions and materials for construction projects under the jurisdiction of the Division of State Architects (DSA) be performed by testing facilities acceptable to the DSA. The services are being provided at an estimated project cost of $20,102.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Various Facilities Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with NV5, Incorporated for the California Military Institute Covered Walkway Project for geotechnical, material testing, and special inspection services.
