Summary: EdPuzzle is an interactive video platform that allows teachers to enhance instruction by embedding questions, audio notes, and quizzes into educational videos from sources such as YouTube, Khan Academy, and more. This tool supports student engagement and checks for understanding in real time, helping teachers assess comprehension and tailor instruction accordingly. EdPuzzle also provides detailed analytics that track student progress, completion rates, and performance on embedded assessments. The use of the EdPuzzle subscription is supplemental and being proposed as an additional instructional support to enrich and reinforce the core curriculum. The term of this Agreement shall be for three (3) years from July 27, 2025, through July 26, 2028. The cost for this item is $23,485.50 per year; for a total contract cost of $70,456.50.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28 operating budgets funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Multi-Year Agreement with EdPuzzle, Incorporated for supplemental services to improve reading comprehension skills for English Learners.
