Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement for online tutoring and essay review services with Paper Education Company for the Adult Education Program. These services provide a chat-based tutoring service and actionable insight through an online platform for students during the Distance Learning phase and returning to a traditional learning model. Every online educator and Paper Education Company Employee undergoes a criminal background check prior to employment.
Services offered are:
Socratic teaching method
24/7 unlimited service in English and now Spanish
Available on any device (IOS or Android)
Free teacher/Administrator accounts
Provides students with Essay Review, where students can upload any piece of written work and receive an annotated version of their work within twenty-four hours.
Paper Education will connect to the District's Adult Education Program’s existing infrastructure with automatic class rostering through our Student Information System (SIS), with school-specific course names and codes without the need for new passwords.
The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year, from May 19, 2022, through May 18, 2023.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Adult Secondary Education Funds, not the General Fund.
