Summary:
|
The Paloma Valley High School Friday Night Live (FNL) Club Advisor has submitted an overnight field trip request to attend the FNL Youth Summit at the Anaheim Hilton in Anaheim, California, February 4-6, 2022. Paloma Valley High School is requesting ten (10) of their respective FNL Club students and two (2) adult chaperones.
The Riverside County Office of Education sponsors the FNL Youth Summit. Students will spend both days attending lectures and activities to build leadership skills, teach self-awareness, and discuss drug, alcohol, and mental health awareness. The skills taught at these camps include essential leadership and specific leadership skills that have to do with prevention education in the areas of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD). These leadership skills will enable students to facilitate activities and club events while under the direction of a staff advisor and a county liaison.
The cost will be reimbursed entirely by the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE). Transportation for all school sites will be provided by Friday Nigh Live Associated Student Body Fund.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through the Riverside County Office of Education and Paloma Valley High School's Friday Night Live Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
