Summary:
|
The California Military Institute (CMI) contracts with Hemet Unified School District (HUSD) for transportation services. HUSD Transportation provides home-to-school transportation for CMI students residing in Moreno Valley and Riverside and athletic/extracurricular transportation and late activity buses as needed. The Charter would like to continue the services of the Hemet Unified School District (HUSD) for the purpose of providing comprehensive student bus transportation for the term of July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2023. This term is in alignment with the existing Agreement term for Perris Union High School District.
For 2021-22, the base contract amount, reflective of the home-to-school transportation services, is $372,178 for three (3) Home to School routes. The rate for athletic and activity trips is $87 per hour for a standard bus. The rate for late activity buses will be $223 per bus per day. The Agreement reflects a four (4) percent increase per year beginning in 2022-23.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 operating budgets funded through the Charter School Fund, not the General Fund.
