Summary:
|
Perris High School's Agriculture teacher, Douglas Cousins, is requesting Board approval for the Perris High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the 94th Annual State Leadership Conference in Sacramento, California, March 25-29, 2022.
The FFA Leadership Conference is an extension of the classroom and will strengthen what the students have learned through the curriculum. This trip aims to expand leadership skills by attending leadership workshops and activities. The skills acquired at these conferences are valuable tools that can be used immediately and after high school.
This is an overnight field trip of three (3) nights, with thirty (30) students and four (4) adult chaperones. Transportation will be provided via District and site vehicles. The estimated cost is $300 per person.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Perris High School's Perkins Grant and Perris High School's Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
