Summary: The California Military Institute (CMI) wishes to enter into a Software Agreement with Edmentum for their Exact Path Program License. Edmentum (Exact Path) will integrate with CMI’s existing Renaissance Star Assessment scores to generate an automated and personalized learning path for each one of our students to help close learning gaps. Students will work on their individualized learning paths at their own pace; if the student is struggling, the program will auto-remediate one grade/skill level lower to accommodate the student for re-teaching. If the student is still struggling, it will alert the teacher to intervene. The program includes additional resources, lesson plans, videos, etc., to help support the teacher in these re-teaching situations. These resources can be pulled by subject, skill, and standard. The subject matter is shown in an age-appropriate media format. The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year from August 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024, at a cost not to exceed $17,250.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the Charter General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Software Agreement with Edmentum for the Exact Path Program License.
