Summary:
|
On February 15, 2023, the District approved an Agreement with LiveView Technologies (LVT) for a camera system to be installed at the PUHSD Maintenance and Operations Facility. This camera system was implemented due to the amount of break ins and theft that had been occurring at the M&O yard. These thefts targeted buildings, vehicle catalytic converters, tools, and equipment as well as Hemet Transportation buses. The thefts impacted M&O’s ability to provide services to District sites as staff had to work without adequate levels of equipment as well as a lack of functioning vehicles while they were being repaired from the catalytic converter thefts. The District has been satisfied with these services and has requested a proposal to continue these camera guard services with LVT. The LVT camera system is a trailer mounted system which comprises multiple security cameras, thermal camera technology, a 2-way talk down system, and multiple lights and strobe light system. This technology is monitored in addition to recording at all times. The system provides security and surveillance of vehicles and property. The renewal of these services is at a cost of $34,149.
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.

The cost for this item will be included in the 2024-25 operating budget funded through the Routine Maintenance Fund, not the General Fund.
