Summary: The Perris Union High School District, on behalf of the California Military Institute (CMI), would like to enter into an Agreement with Alumnew, LLC for team building and leadership development at the California Military Institute. The scope of services provided will cover the following areas: team building workshops and leadership retreats with fifth through twelfth-grade students, summer leadership retreats, staff development, video production services, and school activities through their ANEW Project. Our continued development and alliance with Alumnew is to create a safe space for students to develop leadership skills and develop engaging and meaningful relationships with our learners and the community. Our culture has always been one bound up in Military Style Leadership, but with the addition of the ANEW Project, our student life and culture have turned a positive corner as our cadets Lead the Charge! The ability to secure Alumnew’s unique, student-centered leadership programs is an investment in the future of our students and the best interest of CMI’s Learning Community. The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, at a cost of $130,000 for Leadership Retreats and Professional Development and $50,000 for video production services; at an amount not to exceed $180,000.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the Charter General Fund.
