Summary: California Military Institute (CMI) entered into an Agreement with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools (RCSS) for the College and Career Readiness Unit to provide professional development services for CMI to improve the measurement of student learning. The professional development will create and implement tools that district teachers and school leaders can use to understand how we measure and report student learning at the course and department levels. The data gained through participating in professional development will generate information reports that can then be used to improve student academic performance.

Services include Grade Distribution Analysis, Diagnostic Tools, School-Level Project Briefing and Transcript Exercise, PowerPoint Summary Reports, Workshops, Administrator Presentations, and Coaching.

The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023.

This Agreement is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the Agreement by RCSS.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the Charter General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify Agreement IN80217 with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for professional development to improve the measurement of student learning.
