Summary: The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement for Professional Services with Visual Integrity Arts Photography (VIA) to cultivate students' emotional and mental maturity at Pinacate Middle School (PMS). VIA is about teaching life lessons through the camera lens. The goal is to develop independence, confidence, teamwork, perseverance, focus, empathy, and integrity to provide students with essential life skills. Furthermore, VIA provides students with the skill set, opportunity, and equipment to find their outlook on life that will be displayed in their final, personal portfolio.

The services provided by VIA include a fourteen (14) week course that focuses on the areas of evolution of photography, basic teaching, framing, lighting, shutter speed, manual editing, and gallery.

The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, at a total cost not to exceed $18,550.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement for Professional Services with Visual Integrity Arts Photography to cultivate the emotional mental maturity of students at Pinacate Middle School.
