Summary:
|
Heritage High School requests approval from the Board of Trustees approval for an overnight field trip to attend the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) State Conference in Santa Clara, California, April 15-17, 2023.
The mission of CASL is to provide a statewide network that facilitates the development of ethical, responsible, and servant leaders. CASL's initiative inspires, equips, and empowers students to be influential future leaders. They have invited ASB student leaders to the state conference for three days of inspiration, networking, and learning many ways to lead their campus in a positive direction. Students will hear from world-renowned speakers, choose from a wide variety of over 25 effective workshops, attend special program rotations and region meetings, "Meet the Pros," and create their own State Service Project to pay it forward and give back.
Four (4) adult chaperones will accompany the thirty-six (35) students. Transportation will be provided via district van, bus, or charter bus.

The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Heritage High School Associated Student Body Funds, not the General Fund.
