Summary: The District's Educational Services Department has made recommendations for updates in our district-wide course catalog. When a course is discovered to be outdated or lack sufficient information, then a request is sent to the teacher(s) to update the course. At this time we are submitting the revised Yearbook course.

Yearbook: Yearbook has been revised to change the name from Yearbook Publication 1 to Yearbook. It is a year long course designed to allow students to explore and create print media (newspaper, magazines, etc.). After studying the history of graphic design, students will then develop the following skills: writing and editing copy, captions and headlines, layout and design techniques, photography, communication skills (interviews), independent skills, and responsibility. Within groups, students will learn and apply strategies for project planning with a year-long project to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.

The above course has been approved by the Director of Curriculum and Instruction and the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
