Summary:
|
The Perris Union High School District and the University of Massachusetts Global are interested in entering into a Multi-Year Internship Contract Agreement, Supervised Internship Agreement, and Supervised Fieldwork Agreement.
Interns must have a contract before a credential can be issued. The internship program allows the intern candidate to work under the direct and continuing supervision of a University of Massachusetts Global Supervisor from the Menifee Campus and a District Mentor who provides general support at the classroom level of the cooperating school.
The fieldwork shall provide students with active participation in the duties and functions of the classroom under the direct supervision and instruction of employees of the fieldwork site who hold valid teaching credentials.
The supervised internship program will provide an average of one (1) hour of individual or one-and-one-half (1.5) hours of small group supervision per week from an experienced school counselor with at least two (2) years of professional experience.
These Agreements shall be for three (3) years, from September 20, 2022, through September 20, 2025.
These Agreements are being brought before the Board as ratification due to the untimely receipt of the contract from the University of Massachusetts Global.
