Summary: The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement with the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) College and Career Readiness Department to provide professional development services for Heritage High School teachers, school leaders, and district staff to improve the measurement of student learning. The professional development will create and implement tools that can be utilized to understand how we measure and report student learning at the course and department levels. The data gained through participating in this professional development will generate information reports that can then be leveraged to improve student academic performance. Services include: -A-G Completion Reports -School-level Project Briefing and Transcript Exercise -Transcript Entry -Excel Spreadsheet Reports/PowerPoint Summary Reports -Site-level Ongoing Support Meetings -Teacher and Student Survey Design -Strategies to use data as a means of driving best instructional practices Attached is a proposal from RCOE's College and Career Readiness Department. Upon approval from the PUHSD Board of Trustees and receipt of an Agreement from RCOE, the Agreement will be executed and shall be from December 19, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2024-25 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with the Riverside County Office of Education for professional development services for Heritage High School.
