Summary: The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into an Agreement with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) to provide all students enrolled in the Medical Pathway access to the NHA platform over their four-year enrollment in high school. The student account includes web-based software and materials for curriculum, interactive training resources, practice tests and assessments, national certification exams after graduation, and live training for all the instructors. National certification is necessary for employment in Medical Assisting and Emergency Medicine to verify mastery of skills. The term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, at a cost not to exceed $76,800.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2023-24 operating budget funded through the Career Technical Education Incentive Grant in the amount of $76,800, not the General Fund
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with the National Healthcareer Association for products and services.
