Summary:
|
Mr. Andrew Ellis, Liberty High School Mathematics Teacher and Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, requests approval from the Board of Trustees to travel with twelve (12) student-athletes and three (3) adult chaperones, including himself, to Big Bear Lake, California, for a specialized basketball training session at altitude. There are many proven benefits of altitude training for athletes. This opportunity for the Liberty High School boys varsity basketball student-athletes will prepare the team for the upcoming basketball season with the demands of competition week in and week out. Aside from the fresh mountain air and amazing benefits of the training environment, it is an excellent opportunity for LHS's student-athletes to bond and build a deep culture of trust and hard work, pushing them closer to their goal of a league championship and CIF berth. The estimated cost is $100 per person. All expenses will be paid from the Boys Basketball Associated Student Body fund.
