Summary:

At its study session on August 21, 2023, the Board of Trustees determined it would like to study the feasibility of a local general obligation bond measure and retain the services of TeamCivX, LLC. The Partner that would be utilized by TeamCivX is the same school bond campaign consultant used to study the feasibility for the Measure T bond measure in 2012 and the Measure W bond measure in 2018 and is also currently working with our feeder/collaborative school districts. TeamCivX will assist the District in determining the feasibility of a bond measure, implementing a public outreach and communications program, and developing a measure for the ballot if desired. This contract will remain in effect until such time the Board takes action to adopt a resolution calling for a bond measure election. The Agreement can be terminated earlier if, as a result of the feasibility analysis, the Board determines not to pursue a local school bond. The base consulting fee for these services will be $7,000 a month, plus any authorized reimbursable expenses, such as travel expenses. The District may also elect to purchase informational brochures to be developed, printed, and mailed by the consultant on behalf of the District.
