Summary:
|
The District would like to enter into an Agreement with Blue Water Educational Consulting to conduct site-level training at Perris High School and Pinacate Middle School of the Alternative to Suspensions (ATS) Program Model to familiarize administrators with the premises and philosophies inherent in restorative practices.
Services under this Agreement include support and training in developing and implementing an Alternative to Suspension Program Model, including on-site Restorative Discipline Training for administrators and Restorative Workshops to replace lunch and after-school detention. This service will include three main components:
- An academically rigorous online platform
- Social/emotional support via individual and group counseling
- College/career readiness support along with the ATS Program Model
The combination of these components, embedded within the model, has had tremendous impacts on students and families in other districts that utilize the ATS Program Model with an at-risk student population.
The term of this Agreement shall be from August 19, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Title I Funds, not the General Fund.
