Summary:

Heritage High School's Agriculture advisor, Jeremiah Perotti, is requesting Board approval for the Heritage High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) students to attend the CAFFA's 94th Annual State Leadership Conference in Sacramento California, March 26-29, 2022.
The purpose of this trip is to receive the FFA Charter from the State Association and provide FFA members the opportunity to expand leadership skills by attending leadership workshops and activities. Students will represent Heritage High School on the convention floor, give information to voting delegates on issues that will directly affect the members, and cast votes for the 2022-23 state FFA officers.
In addition, the Heritage Chapter of FFA must be represented by two voting delegates at the convention if they are to remain in good standing with the state association. By being represented, they will be able to continue participating in FFA-sponsored activities, be eligible for agriculture incentives and specialized grants, and give students the ability to run for regional and state FFA offices.
This is an overnight field trip of three (3) nights, with twenty-six (26) students and three (3) adult chaperones. Transportation will be provided via District and site vehicles.
This is coming to the board as a revision as the paperwork attached from CAFFA was updated to the correct date in March.

The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Heritage High School's Future Farmers of America Associated Student Body Fund and the Perkins Grant, not the General Fund.
