Summary:
|
Perris High School Band Instructor Donald Cerchia respectfully requests the Board of Trustees approval for an overnight and out-of-state field trip request for twenty (20) band students and twenty (20) adult chaperones to attend a band concert tour at Grand Canyon West in Laughlin, Nevada and London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, May 18-21, 2023.
Students will be able to perform two (2) free public concerts of the music they are currently working on. On this trip, students will gain performance experience and learn responsibility, leadership, and maturity. The students will perform at two (2) different venues, Grand Canyon West and London Bridge.
The cost for this concert tour will not exceed $15,000 in total, including lodging and transportation. Transportation will be provided by charter bus.

The cost for this item is included in the operating budget funded through Perris High School's Arts, Music, and Instructional Materials Block Grant, not the General Fund.
