Summary: The Perris Union High School District would like to enter into a Multi-Year Agreement with the Riverside County Office of Education to hire two (2) Career Technical Education (CTE) Instructors to provide career preparation and exploration training to middle school students and Information & Communications Technology Gaming to high school students at the California Military Institute. CTE training is given in classrooms equipped to industry standards. Classes are a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job training taught by CTE instructors in the industry who are credentialed by the State of California to teach in their areas of expertise. This Agreement covers the following Career Technical Education instructors at the cost of $145,494.06, including salary and benefits per teacher. There is also a 3% support services fee. The total dollar amount of the Agreement shall be $299,717.76 annually. Below is the list of the instructors in the following programs over the three (3) school years: Career Exploration Instructor and Information & Communications Technology Gaming Instructor. The term of this Agreement shall be three (3) years, from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2024-25, 2025-26, and 2026-27 operating budget funded through the Charter Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the Charter General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Multi-Year Master Agreement IN10009 with Riverside County Superintendent of Schools for Career Technical Education Services at the California Military Institute.
