Summary: Perris High School’s Agriculture teacher, Charlynn McNaul, is requesting approval by the Board for the twelve (12) agriculture students and two (2) adults to attend the 2022 Riverside County Junior Livestock Show in Indio, California, February 21-27, 2022.

On February 21, 2022, twelve (12) students will depart Perris High School to the Indio Fairgrounds, unload the animals, and set up camp. Twelve (12) students (six male, six female) will be camped in two 10x20 tents with ventilation, and all activities will be outdoors.

The schedule is as follows:
- February 22, 2022 - Students will work on preparing animals for show
- February 23, 2022 - Sheep and Goat Show
- February 24, 2022 - Hog Show
- February 25, 2022 - Master Showmanship Contest
- February 26, 2022 - Junior Livestock Auction Students will sell their projects
- February 27, 2022 - Clean up and head back to Perris High School at 2:00 p.m.

By participating in this event, students will interact with community members and market their livestock projects, which will be sold during the fair. The students and advisors will be camping at the fairgrounds. The total cost for students and advisors is approximately $200 per person.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Perris High School's Title I Fund, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for Perris High School's Agriculture students to participate in the Riverside County Junior Livestock Show in Indio, California, February 21-27, 2022.
