Summary:
|
The District has contracted with Susan Tartaglia for professional development services to build capacity among site teachers and administration in instructional practices for St. James Catholic School. These training sessions will include 25 full-day sessions to accommodate teachers and aim at closing the achievement gap to increase student literacy skills in all academic areas. Susan Tartaglia will provide professional development to St. James Catholic School teachers and administration, who will craft their own instructional plans to develop effective practices to support increasing literacy across the school.
The total cost of services for this Agreement is not to exceed $12,500, which will be funded through Title I, not the General Fund.
This item is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the participating Districts to provide Title I Part A Equitable Services to St. James Catholic School not having been agreed upon and set in place prior to the need for services. The MOU to provide Title I part A Equitable Services is being presented to the Board for ratification on February 15, 2023, the same night as this Agreement.
