Summary:
|
Perris High School’s Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Coordinator, Melanie Yates, requests Board approval for the annual Central and Northern California College Trip for its junior and senior class members. The students will be visiting sixteen (16) college campuses over the five (5) day, four (4) night trip. The list of campuses programmed to attend are as follows: CSU Channel Islands, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CSU Monterrey Bay, UC Santa Cruz, San Jose State University, CSU East Bay, UC Berkeley, San Francisco State University, Chico State University, UC Davis, Sacramento State University, CSU Stanislaus, UC Merced, Fresno State University, and CSU Bakersfield,
Approximately forty (40) students and four (4) adults will be transported by charter bus and stay at to-be-determined hotel sites throughout the trip.

The cost for this item is included in the 2022-23 operating budget funded through Local Control Accountability Plan Supplemental and Concentration Funds, not the General Fund
