Summary:
|
Candace Carrillo, Liberty High School's ASB Advisor, requests approval for an overnight field trip to attend the California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) State Conference in Santa Clara, California, April 11-14, 2025.
The mission of CASL is to provide a statewide network that facilitates the development of ethical, responsible, and servant leaders. CASL's initiative inspires, equips, and empowers students to be influential future leaders. They have invited ASB student leaders to the state conference for three days of inspiration, networking, and learning many ways to lead their campus in a positive direction. Students will hear from world-renowned speakers, choose from a wide variety of over 25 practical workshops, attend particular program rotations and region meetings, "Meet the Pros," and create their own State Service Project to pay it forward and give back.
Two (2) adult chaperones will accompany eight (8) Liberty High School students. Transportation will be provided via a District van.

The cost for this item is included in the 2024-25 operating budget funded through the Liberty High School Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
