Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of constructing a complete comprehensive high school. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees approved the contract with Roadway Engineering & Contracting Inc. in the amount of $5,252,500 for all services related to offsite work, including the Scott and Leon Interchange, the construction of Wicker and Garbani Road, traffic signals, and all work around the perimeter of the Liberty High School campus. During trenching for the streetlights around the Liberty campus, significant rock outcroppings were discovered along the conduit pathways. Breaking of this rock was necessary to install the electrical conduit and the installation of streetlights around the campus. District staff directed Roadway to proceed on a time and material basis to remove the rock in these pathways. The work necessary to complete the installation of the conduit and the lights was completed at a cost of $6,966.39.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts related to installing the conduit pathways and light poles around the Liberty High School campus.
