Summary:
|
The Board of Trustees previously approved, and the District has undertaken the facilities project known as the Liberty High School Project, which consists of the construction of a new high school facility. On March 20, 2019, the Board of Trustees awarded the contract to Alcorn Fence Company (Alcorn) in the amount of $3,130,715, for all services related to site fencing and gates on the Liberty High School Campus. During the completion of Alcorn’s scope of work, changes to Alcorn Fence’s scope of work became necessary. Change Order #03d-009 combines and reconciles all change orders for Category 03d - Fencing; this includes the final change event #03d-010, which became necessary to redesign the fencing around the main gas valve and meter. This change was due to a redesign by The Southern California Gas Company which increased the distance between the gas equipment and the perimeter fencing of the enclosure. The cost of this Change Order #03d-009 is $15,582.15.
This is being brought before the Board as ratification due to the need to mitigate schedule impacts to the Liberty High School Project.
