Perris Union District, D3 LiveUnit, Updated Terms.pdf
Summary: The District has had security guard services in place for the PUHSD Maintenance and Operations Facility (M&O Yard) located at 300 W Metz Road. Security guard services were put in place due to multiple break-ins and theft at the M&O Yard. These thefts have targeted the facility and have resulted in the theft of equipment as well as multiple catalytic converters stolen from M&O vehicles as well as Hemet Transportation buses. These thefts have impacted M&O’s ability to provide services to our District as we have had to work without adequate levels of equipment as well as a lack of functioning vehicles while they are being repaired from the catalytic converter thefts. After reviewing different options for securing the M&O yard, the District recommends replacing the security guard service with a security and surveillance system provided by LiveView Technologies. This trailer-mounted system comprises multiple security cameras, thermal camera technology, a 2-way talk down system, and multiple lights and strobe light system. This technology is monitored in addition to recording at all times. The system will be installed at the M&O yard to provide security and surveillance of vehicles and property. LiveView Technologies provides these services at an annual cost of $34,149. This Agreement shall be from February 16, 2023, through February 15, 2024.
Funding: The cost for this item will be included in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 operating budgets funded through Various COVID Funds, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Agreement with LiveView Technologies, Incorporated for security camera and surveillance services.
