Summary: Perris High School Band Instructor, Donald Cerchia, is submitting an overnight field trip request for sixteen (16) band students and two (2) adult chaperones to attend a band concert tour in San Diego, California, May 13-15, 2022.

Students will have the opportunity of performing two (2) free public concerts of the music they are currently working on. On this trip, students will not only gain performance experience but will learn responsibility, leadership, and maturity. The students will be performing at two (2) different venues, the U.S.S. Midway Museum and Seaport Village.

The cost per person is approximately $240, not to exceed $4,000 total, including lodging and transportation. Transportation will be provided by school bus.
Funding: The cost for this item is included in the 2021-22 operating budget funded through Perris High School's Associated Student Body Fund, not the General Fund.
Recommendation: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the overnight field trip request for Perris High School band students to attend a Band Concert Tour in San Diego, California, May 13-15, 2022.
